What this site collects, what it does not, and who your information reaches.
What you give us, when you choose to
The only information we hold is what you type into a form and send. There are four of them:
- Contact form: your name, email, an optional phone number, a subject and your message. We use it to reply.
- Volunteer application: your name, email and the skills and dates you tell us about. We use it to assess your application and reply to it.
- Newsletter: your email address, so we can send updates from the field.
- Donation form: your name, email, optional phone number, the amount and the project, so we can process your gift and send your receipt.
We use these details for that purpose and nothing else.
Cookies and tracking
The public pages set one technical session cookie, which forms need in order to work securely. It does not identify you and is not used for advertising. We have not installed advertising trackers, tracking pixels or session recording. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them.
Payments
Donations are processed by Selcom, a Tanzanian payment provider. When you give, you are sent to Selcom's own secure page to pay by card, mobile money or TanQR. Your card details and mobile-money PIN are entered there and never reach this website or our servers. We pass Selcom your name, email and, if you give one, your phone number, so it can process the payment, and Selcom handles that data under its own privacy terms. We keep a record of the gift (amount, date, project and your contact details) so we can send your receipt and thank you.
Who else sees it
Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or swap supporter data, and we do not share it with other charities.
Your choices
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing info@zaratanzaniacharity.org. You do not need to give a reason.
- Every email we send will carry a one-click unsubscribe, or you can use the unsubscribe page.
- Concerns about conduct rather than data belong on the safeguarding page.
